I am the Senior Program Manager in MasterCard’s Digital Payments Technology organization responsible for the suite of Web/Mobile Wallet products called MasterPass. As part of my role I am also leading Agile Transformation for MasterPass both at team level (Scrum) as well as the program level (SAFe).
I have been in Information Technology field for about 20 years, mostly in program management and engineering management roles at AT&T, McGraw-Hill, Skype and Microsoft. In my previous roles I have managed key partner programs as well as built and lead mobile engineering teams in telecommunications and education publishing industries. My passion is leading teams to build new and existing products using cutting-edge mobile technologies.
My involvement with Agile began about 5 years ago when I received my Scrum Master Certification. Since then I have had Scrum master roles as well as managed teams of Scrum masters. I am relatively new to SAFe having received my SPC4 certification in February of 2016. The biggest gain I am hoping to achieve from this retreat is a deeper understanding of SAFe methodologies in general and of Value Stream level in particular. I am also very curious to learn how fellow SPCs overcome common obstacles and issues that arise during implementation of SAFe in large organizations, especially when it comes to culture change.
